May 27, 201016 yr I wonder how much longer our FS9 skies will be supported for FS9? I keep a record of what Ai airlines I have and their current seasonal status. As of today 865 airlines (does not include GA which swells everyday) either Win 09/10 or now starting over to Sum 10. A few are Sum 09 but with the great work by AIG, WOI and a few independants I can keep my skies alive and current. I just wonder how much longer they will be going? I must mention one repainter who has recently reuploaded some great Ai files in Billy Rutherford..... I salute you.Anyone else keep the skies alive without using the commercial packages????MilesPS Will not forget the retro Ai guys who run me back to my childhood with memories. :(
May 27, 201016 yr Anyone else keep the skies alive without using the commercial packages????Hell yeah! I have loads of AI and I add / manage it all myself. Started off with a few years ago by downloading everything that WoAI had done and installing it, and then used the 'http://worldoftraffic.de.ki/' website to go through systematically country by country until I had pretty much everything covered. On top of that, I have lots of GA and various newer finds fom Avsim / Flightsim and other libraries... Yes, it took me a while to finish that project :)The great thing is that a lot of the serious AI modellers / planners etc are still FS9 users, so I can see FS9 traffic staying alive for a long time. Also, even if there is a gradual move towards FSX, there is nothing apart from the models themsleves that couldn't be converted in minutes...Geoff

Your own virtual real world.CheersMiles

That is a fairly impressive feat you've accomplished! How do you keep it all up to date?
May 28, 201016 yr :( :( :( Could I borrow your hard drive for a day???? That is a fairly impressive feat you've accomplished! How do you keep it all up to date? To be truthful, I guess I don't really keep it up to date. I maintain the airlines in the areas that I regularly fly the sim (Northern Europe) and then also I try to make sure my traffic is authentic for places I've travelled IRL. Apart from that I just update stuff when good flightplans (like AIG) are relaesed. I suspect that in many areas the traffic is totally out of date... but since I've never been to most places IRL, how do I know ;) I just see plenty of traffic...Geoff
