Even a Core2Duo e6600 can clock to 3.2 but gets only mediocre results with FSX. If you want the quoted 24-plus fps's from the past two months posts - you need to move to the i7 and 4.2 gig to get anything approaching what you're reading about. It may satisfy some, like I was satisfied with the C2D, but once you're at 4 and above the difference is like chalk and cheese.
