June 1, 201016 yr Hi,In an ongoing search for improvement I did the following:1. Cranked up the environments sound slider to max2. Lowered the others to get a balance3. Use Audacity to maximise the AI sounds (see sound folder)4. Use special (see library on AI sounds) file to have reverse sound on my AI.5. Set up my 5.1 sound system as I like it best. Now, more important..6. Go in to the FS9.CFG and raise the [sound] section like this:[sOUND]SOUND=1SOUND_FADER1=0.500000SOUND_FADER2=0.280000SOUND_FADER3=5.000000SOUND_FADER4=0.540000SOUND_FADER5=1.000000SOUND_FADER6=1.100000SOUND_QUALITY=2Channels=5SamplesPerSec=44100BitsPerSample=16 Since I now hear A LOT of AI noise, I wonder if the 5.1 fiddling is responsible OR the [sound] section ?Can someone test this and confirm ?Remember that AI are only audible around 3 NM from your position.Johan.PS: You might say lower it back, the 5.00000 is, but I cant tell anymore, might be placebo effect.
June 4, 201015 yr Ok I have done the .cfg edit and now I'm off to find some decent AI noises but I don't quite know if this will work for me since my sound comes from two stock speakers that are about 3x5 inches. Thanks for the tipsAlex
