June 5, 201015 yr I have recently added a gauge to the VC10 C1K in the tradition of keeping this a/c up to date as it is still flying!!!!The gauge in question is a schematic map which displays on the C1k panel. It takes its information from GPS_export.dll. At the same time I am running FSUIPC with a weather engine and PFE. After about 10-15 minutes the graphics begin to deteriorate to the point where if I select another panel or go to desktop, FS9 crashes. If i do nothing I can nurse Fs9 for about half an hour. For example If I start fs9 in its basic form and then say after 10 minutes start the weather engine that will cause a crash. This is just one of many combinations of crash causes which all seem to point to FS9 having too much on its plate. What I would like to know is: Is it the combination of GPS_export and FSUIPC that FS9 doesn't like or is it just the gauge? The gauge is on avsim -here- It isn't an xml gauge so I can't examine it. For the VC10 I navigate solely with INS (as one should in all commercial jets!!!) I download the flightplan just to confirm i am en-route. The gauge shows a schematic representation of the flightplan route allowing me to visually confirm drift angle or any anomalies with the INS programming. It is quite basic but serves its purpose well---with the exception of bringing FS9 to its knees!I'm not well versed in xml programming and wonder if it is possible to re-create this gauge in xml as perhaps that might solve the graphics memory leak issue. Any ideas welcome. (would it be possible to modify the gps gauge for example?) Thanksvololiberista Super VC10 into LOWI with PF3 at a cinema near you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=298UDyNmgUA
