June 6, 201015 yr I recently purchased the Carenado C182Q. It's a great single prop aircraft and it's become my favorite GA plane to fly in FSX. But one problem I'm having is landing, and while on final, I'm consistently approaching the runway too fast. Even with full flaps, I can't seem to touchdown at anything less than 80kts or so, rather than the preferred 50-60kts, and, on touchdown, the aircraft wants to bounce on the runway a few times before settling down. Adding carb heat does seem to help a little getting me to slow down, but I'm wondering if anyone who has flown this A/C has any tips on how to land at a more reasonable airspeed.Thanks.
June 6, 201015 yr It really wants to float down the runway on the ground effect cloud. I've simply started idling the engine earlier than with any other airplane I fly and then stretch the glide in order to slow properly. I've found it fairly difficult to get that no bounce landing we all look for. I can get it on to the ground with usually only one very small bounce doing things this way.
