wilco caravan gps question

I just purchased the wilco caravan gps and am trying to find out if you can manually add the flight plan to the simflyer gps like you would do with a fmc. Is the only way to add the flight plan through programs like fs build ? (which I have) Is the realty xp gps the only gps that allows you manually add a flight plan ?
