Spinning Prop Animation in FSX vs FS9

Featured Replies

One thing that annoys me in FSX that was no problem in FS9: When a spinning prop is viewed from the cockpit in 3D, no matter what speed the prop is at, it flickers as if it were at a low rpm. In FS9 this was modeled really well. If you were at idle or less than full power, the rotating prop flickers accordingly. But if you increase to full power or are at cruise, you only see the outline of the prop thus showing it is spinning at a higher or full speed. This enhances the feeling of moving in my opinion. In FSX, no matter what speed the throttle is at, the plop flickers as if it is at low rpm even when at cruise. Can this be configured to respond as does to different throttle settings in FS9? I think it would help with the illusion of moving and speed. Tom
