June 24, 201015 yr Hi,If I am flying in FSX with ASE weather active and I save the flight for another day, what happens with the weather when I reload FSX? If I reload FSX without ASE will the weather settings be remembered in the saved flight in FSX (albeit in 'static' format)? The reason I ask is that I do a lot of VFR flying where I calculate my own TRK/HDG/GS etc based on wind speed and if I save the flight and reopen it later with 'current' ASE weather running the winds have changed and I have to recalculate all my TRK/HDGs etc...I hope that this makes some kind of sense and isn't just a load of waffle! Thanks Gareth Howell Cheshire (UK)
June 25, 201015 yr Hi,I understand the question!2 ways:1. Don't start ASE and use the saved weather file that was saved with the flight in FS.2. Save the METAR file in ASE when you save the flight in FS. Then when you return, start ASE, load the saved file and then finish your flight. ASE will switch to Offline mode and so current weather will not over-ride your saved weather. For a short second half flight I think #1 is easier.
