June 28, 201015 yr Hi,Perhaps someone can help me with this. I just bought an Asus Rampage III and a GTX 480 vard. For some reason (mechanical clearances?) the card does not work in PCI-e x16 slot 1 (the slot is ok, I tried with another card and it works) but it does in slot 2. Is there any problem if I install the card in slot #2?.Thanks.
June 28, 201015 yr I don't know the specs of that board, but on my P6T the first two PCI-E slots are x16, and the third is x4. You should be fine. I installed my GTX 480 in the second slot to keep the 480 away from my cpu heatsink. Shane Gavin
