Help with FPS Limiter.....

Featured Replies

:( Hi GuysI have a slight problem which one of you guys or gals might be able to help me with. Am running FSX on Win XP 64 bit and have been having great success with the FPS Limiter especially in built up areas with heavy iron. Now FSX had started to open in windowed mode and I had to delete the FSX.cfg file and let it build a new one to be able to start FSX in Full screen mode. Since then when I start the FPS Limiter it seems to run FSX with Limited frames (30) when I am in windowed mode only and as soon as I am back in Full screen mode the FPS are fluctuating wildly so its not working. I have tried to create a new bat file but to no avail it will only limit frames in windowed mode which is most annoying. Does anyone have any tips that I could try? Is there a way of uninstalling FPS Limiter altogether and starting again.Another little problem that has crept up on me is when I change from Full screen to windowed mode I often get a white sceen which I am unable to escape from and then have to do a complete restart. I am running an i5 OC to 4.0Ghz ATI 5850, Matrox Triple Head 2 go 3840 x 1024 and do not have any special tweaks other than Nick N's suggestions...Thanks for looking!!H.

its been my experience that if I close the sim in window mode, it opens in window mode the next time. Likewise closing in full screen, it will open with full screen.

Be sure DisablePreload in the fsx.cfg file is not set to "1." This causes some problems with minimizing/maximizing/window modes, etc.
