TV-OUT vs Monitor

Featured Replies

Hello,How would it compare to use a 22' TV with my graphics card, to a 17' monitor. I think TV and Monitor do not have the same display technology ; pixels vs lines or something. So would it give me a nice resolution. If anyone can explain some more I would appreciate. tnxericP4 - 1.9 MhzMB Intel 512 K RdRamFX5200 AsusSoundblaster LiveSamsung 17'

If you have grown accustom to crisp high-resolution graphics, you most likely would not be happy with the arrangement. Small gauge text, and menu items would be quite fuzzy. TV resolution is very low compared to even a 1024x768 monitor. I can't remember the exact numbers but normal non-HDTV is somewhere around 700x500 when represented in pixel resolution. This is one of the main reasons that WebTV did not do very well, the text was very difficult to read on the TV screen, and the text on web pages is much easier to read then some of the tiny text we see in the sim.
