ground textures near the aircraft

Featured Replies

Hello,While flying I can see some terrain areas loading a higher resolution texture near the aircraft, can I tell FS to load the textures earlier or load a larger range at once, to avoid blurry textures near the aircraft ?Thanks,Ulisses

I tried this and it improved it a bit but didn't totally get rid of them. I would like to see a work-around for this as well?Set the texture_bandwidth_mult=400 in the fs9 cfg file so changing views is instant with no pop-in textures. Fs9.cfg under: (DISPLAY)TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=40 <- change to a higher value ex: 400This setting controls the rate at which textures get transferred to the video hardware. Higher numbers will result in the textures getting to the hardware faster and avoiding "popping" textures when switching view but may increase stutters and require more physical memory on the video card (and some more, not recommended for video card with less than 128Mb). If anyone has experimented with higher or lower numbers please chime in

I tried 400 and changing views updates are faster, but I still can see some low res terrain textures being updated for a high res textures near the aircraft.I'll try another settings, like 80 and 160Thanks,Ulisses
