Installing copilot on second account

Featured Replies

i have recently joined VATSIM. I have 2 user accounts on my PC. One for when I fly the default Cessna 172 and the other for when I fly the PMDG 744. I installed CoPilot and FSInn when logged on to the 744 account and it works OK when I am logged on to that account but when I am logged on to the Cessna account there is no CoPilot in the addons dropdown menu. I could just install CoPilot and FSInn when logged on to the Cessna account but I had a problem in the past with a .dll file when I installed a new version of a program without uninstalling the old version first. I'd appreciate any help with my problem. Thanks.Phil McEvoy.

I have no idea what you are talking about Phil :( You have 2 Vatsim accounts? your only allowed 1, you don't need separate accounts for each aircraft that you fly.

Hi Ian, I have 2 user accounts on my PC that I use for FSX. The reason is as follows. The PMDG 744 needs a lot of processor power and memory and so I need to keep the scenery settings fairly low to avoid low framerates and OOM errors. The default Cessna need little processor power and so I use high scenery settings (I increase the LOD in fsx.cfg). I also use Wideview which needs different settings for each aircraft. Before I had 2 user accounts I had to spend time altering many settings when switching between aircraft. Now, because each account has its own fsx.cfg and Wideview files, when I want to fly the 744 I use the 744 account and all my 744 settings are loaded automatically When I want to fly the Cessna I use the Cessna account and all my Cessna settings are loaded automatically. It makes life MUCH easier. I only have 1 VATSIM account. I hope this explains things better.Phil.
