Hi Brandon, Are you clicking the buttons correct? (sorry have to ask the obvious 1st). Some of the switches go to the right with a + sign near the cursor and some only work if you right click. You can also try the mouse wheel and see if you get anything. If that doesn't work, you may need to rebuild your fsx.cfg and controls.xml. The easiest way to do that is hold CTRL+SHIFT and then while holding them, start up FSX. Keep holding the two buttons while FSX loads and don't let go, it takes a while so keep them pressed. Eventually you should start getting prompted to allow this, that and the other to run. At that point you can let go of the two buttons and hopefully you'll be all set.If that doesn't work, my next questions would be:1.- Is the new hard drive an addition to your other one? As in a D:\ drive? Or a replacement drive?2.- Did you have FSX installed previously on your system (as in, right before the upgrade)?

Sorry Brandon, I lose track of posts sometime and looks like I did here.To be honest, it sounds like there may be something wrong with the windows registry. Prior to having the new drive did you have FSX installed? How did you remove it? You mentioned you had it installed for 5 years on the old drive and I don't know what you meant by "that ctrl". It might not have been uninstalled completely or you might have had lingering files tied to the old installation. The issue with "knobs only go to the left" sounds like a C++ or .net framework issue. Download and install "2005 C++ Runtime library" and "2008 C++ Runtime library". If you are using a 64 bit operating system, you need to install both the 32 bit and both the 64 bit (so that's 4 in total). Also download and install the latest ".Net Framework". Just google any of these names and you'll find their downloads.Personally if I were you and had a new drive and these issues, I would format, reinstall my OS, and FSX from scratch, but I'm silly like that. If the above doesn't help, I'm afraid that would be my last recommendation.Hope this helps,
