August 15, 201015 yr So i have SNA2004 installed and downloaded the Service pack for it off of avsim. When I installed it all correctly and took my first flight there i noticed something that was a bit odd considering i was only there a couple days ago. They were having me and AI planes landing on the skinny short 19L runway! So i opted to take the ILS 19R from FS2004 ATC , which is no big thing, but when i see AI landing on 19L and over shooting the runway end, it's just a bit odd. So i edited the Afcad to close runway 19L/1R all together, but still ATC wants me to land in 19L and same with AI. Is there a way i can fix this? Also ive noticed i have a file, SNAtaxisign.bgl above my AF2_KSNA.bgl in the priority list when i open SNA in Afcad. Can i change the priority of these files so my AF2_KSNA.bgl will be the top priority. I think this may be my problem. Thanks for you help guys!
August 15, 201015 yr If you change the wind direction your AIs will land on one of the other runways depending on that wind direction.Open a flight at KNSA, change the wind direction with a strength of about 10 Kts via the drop down menu and then (re-)save that flight. Your saved flight will then store that wind direction and many other related data elements for when you re-open that flight again in the future. However, keep in mind that this will not permanently insert that wind direction and strength at KNSA, nor will it change any wind directions at your destination airport when departing KNSA. This data is only stored with each saved flight and is valid EITHER at your departure or your destination airport. Never both. When flying to KNSA yourself from anywhere else, open your flight at your departure airport, change the wind direction and strength as above at your destination airport (KNSA or anywhere else) and then re-save that flight. Drop down menu: World/Weather/Customise weather (tick)/Specific weather station (tick). When you then place your cursur near the edges of the map you can move it untill you see the weather station at KNSA. Use the zoom-in/out buttons as necessary. Click on this weather station and see it's name in the text above the map. Now klick on the "advanced weather" button. Click on the "Wind" drop down button where you can now change wind strength and direction at KNSA. Click on "OK" a number of times to get you back into your flight. Re-save that flight and the wind data at KNSA will be permanently stored for that flight (ONLY).By the time you approach KNSA all your AIs will be using the new wind direction dependant runway.Good luckHans
