VRS Superbug (F/A 18E) Superhornet Review

Featured Replies

Hi Mark,Just thought I would suggest a correction for you on one of your "What I don't like" aspects of this review...you state:Engine turbine intake fans do not spin while running Mark, on the Superhornet, what you are seeing in the intakes are not engine turbine blades, (while they look like them) they are in fact radar diffusing surface areas  and beyond that, their purpose goes classified. So, they don't spin and these are in fact accurately modeled on the VRS Superhornet...Also, I know there is a heck of a lot to write about the features of this incredible add-on, but to further your own enjoyment, I suggest you take a look through this threads' entirety to try out some remarkable features that weren't covered in your review (for one of the coolest features, look on how to enable Night Time Vision, a first in FSX!):http://forums.vrsimu...php?f=23&t=2625I hope you enjoy this add-on, it is truly one of the most advanced add-ons ever produced for FSX.Oh, and keep an eye out for a little bonus called TAC-PAC on their website that will even further expand the capabilities of this Superhornet...

RLSinCO,Thank you for pointing out the error in my understanding of the Super Hornet. I had never witnessed a real world Bug at close enough range while running to discover that those blades are actually a FOD grate and help to reduce radar signature. I have already talked to Jon over at VRS about it, and as soon as I get access to my e-mail (my computer is currently on loan to my mother) I will talk to the editor about getting that fixed. I had been a lurker on the VRS forums during the testing and writing of the review, but I now have an account. I tried many of the things in that thread already (Saluting the cat director/crew chief, opening the doors and ladder, turning the hornet into a convertible, and many more), and I hope to do the rest (ejecting from a cold and dark cockpit)in the not too distant future. I am also looking foreword to the Tac Pac, and hope that I am lucky enough to get to write the review on it!
