August 24, 201015 yr Hi, I am looking to change all my BA's aircraft to go T4, instead of T5. Just like back in the day, but due to my amteur capabilities i'm unaware how to do so?CheersJames Andrews
August 24, 201015 yr It's straightforward enough, if a bit laborious, with an AFCAD editor like AFCAD2 (available here at http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=46238). See the help file, esp. the bit on "parking assignments for AI aircraft" but basically every airline has a "parking code". Using the editor you can assign one or more of those codes to each parking spot (gate) on any AFCAD file, which reserves that gate to aircraft from those airlines. So what you'd do is -- open the LHR AFCAD;- right-click each of the T5 parking spots, select 'properties' and delete the BA parking code ("BAW");- add the same code to each of the T4 gates (and delete the codes for any other airlines if you want to maximise space for BA aircraft);- check that all of your BA aircraft have a corresponding "BAW" parking code (and insert it if they don't), using AFCAD2's inbuilt aircraft editor.- save and close the AFCAD, and restart FS9. That'll force BA aircraft to T4 if there's space available there, and will mean T5 would become an 'overflow' for use by any airline (including BA if there were no space at T4). You could stop it being used altogether by deleting the T5 parking spots or taxiways, but that could cause a parking shortage at LHR overall which I think makes landing AI traffic behave very oddly (disappearing after a few minutes stuck on a taxiway once there are no spaces left). Instead, maybe give the T5 gates a single parking code for an airline that doesn't operate into LHR at all, such as ASA (Alaska Airlines). That'd mean T5 would only be used as a last resort once all other spaces were full. Not as complicated as I've made it sound. Good luck.Tim
