September 14, 201015 yr Create your own. I made a dirt strip in New Guinea for the MAAM B25 to fly from. I did a bit of research as to where strips would be located and made them with Lee Swordy's AFCAD2.2 program. I am sure the 8th Air Force had fighter strips in France once the Germans were pushed back far enough to allow for strips to be built. September 14, 201015 yr I found a page about the air fields used by the 9th Air Force (not the 8th like I previously stated though the 8th had fighters too) in the ETO. IX Engineer Command has all sorts of information on what the air fields were constructed from, lengths and widths along with locations.
