Black flashes

Everything runs smoothly but every now and then my screen turns black for a fraction of a second and then everything becomes normal. I have not installed any new add-ons, but I have installed *******'s Shader 3.0 and then uninstalled it (didn't work with my REX Overdrive water textures.)Any ideas folks?

You probably have leftover remnants from Shader 3.0. I would delete or rename the fsx.cfg, restart fsx and let the config rebuild. Make sure all remnants of the Shader 3.0 are removed, including the enbseries.ini and d3d9.dll in the main folder.Best regards,Jim

Thanks for the response. How do I identify remnants of the Shader 3.0? Why am I deleting enbseries, isn't that completely independent (for bloom)?

Can I delete my shaders folder and let FSX recompile it? If so, how?

are you saying that your entire screen goes black or is it just some of the textures that go black?

My entire screen goes black. It also happens when I click on primary and navigation display on my 747. It only happens for a fraction of a second though.

No, that was modified for Shader 3.0. You'll have to reinstall the original EMBSERIES program. So the remnants are what I discussed above.Best regards,Jim
