slightly O.T. need help with dsl sharing and networking ?

hi , my main computer is a W98/SE P4 1.7G I have DSL connection to surf the web , I just have bought a laptop which operating system is XP , P4 1.6G and I would like to hook the two together to be able to share my DSL so a few days ago I did acquire an ETHERNET BROADBAND ROUTER (D-LINK DI-704P). Okay, your DSL Modem should have a ethernet connection. This goes into the WAN port on your router. Then hook your computer(s) into the LAN part. Set your computers to use DHCP.You may need to configure the router to use PPTP to maintain the DSL.Also, this router has built in firewall, so you won't need zonealarm anymore.http://saltydogfly2.avsim.net/images/avsim_sig.jpg"We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams."
