October 5, 201015 yr Just bought the excellent carenado grand caravan and downloaded Bill Womacks kenmore repaint http://iblueyonder.com/freeware/I've tried to install the repaint, copying the files to the appropriate folder and amending the aircraft.cfg file, when I fire up FSX the repaint cant be seen. I then took the kenmore folder out and took the reference out the aircraft cfg file.next I tried downloading the San Juan repaint from the same site, folled the instructions (same as the kenmore), fired up FSX and there was the San Juan repaint.Had another go at installing the kenmore repaint, folder into the sam place as the San Juan repaint, amended the aircraft.cfg file, checked the kenmore entry against the San Juan, all looked ok, San Juan in as the 6th aircraft, kenmore as the 7th. Fired up FSX, still no Kenmore!!!! Any ideas please? For the Kenmore paint, which was my first for the C208, I listed the ui_manufacturer as "Cessna". If you change that line to "Carenado" instead, it'll show up alongside the others. That was my mistake, but it bugs me when devs use that line for their company name. There's a separate entry (ui_createdby) for that purpose. No matter though, the fix is easy enough and then the paint will show up properly.
