try this uninstall it completely folders etc. defrag , check for file errors etc then try it again. As far as the killer system hey, go for it.

Invalid page faults are related to virtual memory. Try moving your page file to a different partition. For "best practice" the page file should have it's own partition as per Unix/Linux. Collisions between the swap file and data were a pretty common bugbear of Windows 95/98 before everyone had 40Gb+ drives.Laurie
