ATC Parking types=RAMP

Featured Replies

Saw this in my config file of the Caravan. What does this mean and other than ramp what else can you put in its place...Cargo, Gate?NP

I believe this is for the AI planes and it tells the particular AI Aircraft where to park (ramp or gate).

No more use for RAFCAD and fiddling around with, this is one AI change I really enjoy. I can now tell cargo planes to only park at cargo areas or get lost lol - literally becos they will just dissapear if no cargo areas are avail :)By the way, check out the default cargo b747 it has cargo as its only parking type :)

Thanks for the link. I went and added the atc_parking_types= to my config files but not sure why ATC has/allows me to taxi to places that i did not put in my parking types. Is this just for AI? I loaded up a UPS plane that I had set to only park at Cargo and the ground allowed me to park at both Gate and Ramp as I requested. Is this right or do I also need to add the atc_parking_codes? Will this feature be available as soon the new AFCAD is released? Any help would be great and your FAQ webpage also was very helpful.NP

We'll have to wait for AFCAD for FS2004 before being able to do much with all this.I think there are some airports that have designated Cargo areas. Not sure how they set up the other airports. They might have designated all the gates to accept cargo. In FS2002, it would also affect the user aircraft so I'm assuming it works the same way in FS2004....again, we won't know the whole story until we get AFCAD for 2004.Matt
