having more than one instance of FSX on comp

Featured Replies

Hi everyone!!Is it possible to have more than one instance of FSX on my computer? I have 10 copies of FS9 (Misty Fjords, Airlines, Golden Wings, OZ-VOZ etc) each with its own particular cfg settings - aircraft and sceneries etc. Works great! But FSX is quite different from FS9 regarding this. Has anyone tried to copy FSX and rename it so that it will run as an additional flightsim? I am very pleased with the way FSX runs on my somewhat older computer, just an occasional stutter but otherwise it's a great experience and enjoyable. The only trouble is that I've got quite a few aircraft and switching between them can take a while (hence the need for additional copies of FSX, if poss) Any help would be welcome! Thanks.MartyF

Possibly not quite what you have in mind. But I access the very same FSX folder from 2 different partitions: Windows7 64bit and XP 64 bit. Each works just great.Abe
