September 22, 200322 yr Has anybody running Win98 been able to load this panel without the 3rd party error coming up??I have tried everything but no luck.CheersSimon Ward
September 22, 200322 yr I haven't been able to get it going, even with their suggestion of installing the Gdiplus.dll...informed them so in the relevant thread but it never saw the light of day..Win 98, Fs2004 here, and a rig with all the latest drivers, etc, so I would be interested in seeing if others with the same don't have this prob as well. What a showstopper if it isn't Win 98 compatable though...I find it hard to believe none of their beta-testers were running the same setup. I have quite a few payware addons and have not had any probs until this realease...it's really great sitting here having payed for two aircraft you can't even use!....well, I can gawk at the visual model but that's about it. No gauges to be seen anywhere...CheersDave
September 22, 200322 yr 2003 minus 1998 = 5 years!!! Are there actually good reasons out there to have every click you make, every software install, everything you do with your computer depend on a 5 to 6 year-old operating system? Hell no, not for me anyway. 2nd point: I do not believe any developer out there should be forced/asked to make their s/w compatable with something this old, without charging an exhorbitant fee, just to those specific customers. I.e. there is no way I would pay more for a s/w package so it can be made compatable with an archaic operation system.Sorry, just an opinion...sj
September 22, 200322 yr sj3,Nobody is forcing PSS at gunpoint to make a product Win 98 compatible, that's not the issue here....The issue is, they don't state it isn't compatible, so therefore we should expect the product to work...anyway, it seems it's not just Win 98 users that are having this problem. XP users are also experiencing this as well it seems.I wouldn't call it a glitch either, when all panels and VC gauges don't load it's a major problem...CheersDave
