September 22, 200322 yr Just wondering if I look at some screenshots from FS2004, how do the guys get those orange sunsets - I've flown in FS2004 since the release I no where - real weather, industrial area, low clouds, high clouds, humidity, tropical, desert ... nowhere! Is it a setting or what?I'm using a MSi FX5600Pro 256DDR VideoCard.Kind regardsTerblanche
September 22, 200322 yr I'm still using FS2002, but can achieve the orange effect by tossing liberal handfulls of Tang at the screen ;)Racartronit means something, but I just can't remember what
September 22, 200322 yr Ignoring the reply from someone who had nothing to say...If this is what you mean, I didn't change any settings for it.
September 22, 200322 yr YIP! That's it ... I never get anything close to that.Is it drivers you think? I'm using the latest Nvidia Drivers. I've tweaked and changed but no luck.???T
September 22, 200322 yr >Ignoring the reply from someone who had nothing to say...>umm...i thought he said more then you did....the guy's got humour...something that's much needed on this forum.basically,i think you're rude, but if i understand your username correctly,i know why,as that is the norm there nowadays.so you're forgiven ;-)
September 22, 200322 yr I think its kinda randum I used to get them over the middle east with my old GF2...
September 22, 200322 yr It does seem the ability to laugh is rapidily disappearing from the forum and not just this one. Oh well, It is just a game and those poors souls that can't just enjoy it for what it is are the losers. Meanwhile, I'll just keep on ;) Racartronit means something, but I just can't remember what
September 23, 200322 yr There is another method which is considerably less messy than throwing Tang at the screen! The sky appearance changes with different dates. In particular, by changing the date at dusk you can see significance differences. I think there are at least three different dusk types, one being almost colourless, the other a strong red. If you simply change the date you should see a quite dramatic difference. The one thing they all have in common is that they look beautiful. Best regards, Chris
September 23, 200322 yr Now that is really cool. Guess my cat will be out her Tang clean up job.Racartronit means something, but I just can't remember what

So anyway, set the time to something dawny with the sun just above the horizon, then increase the day by 1 a couple times. You'll get a seriers of slightly different skies, and you will find the one with the 'pure' reddish colors easily.Hope that helps, it did for me.
