GregDo a search for *Switzerland mesh* at flightsim.com and you should find what you are looking for. In particular there is some mesh created by Josiah Haut.I use the Switzerland mesh from Lago which costs 4.99 Euros - ridiculously cheap - and find it excellent. You may also want to do a search at flightsim and Avsim for Swiss airports. There are a number of excellent free addons.Hope this helps.David

Search for Andreas Hegi for some fine Swiss airports and also extent your experience of Swiss to the french/swiss border and have the french altiports: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/bravomike/altiports_fs20022.htmHave fun!Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://www.emotipad.com/emoticons/Flying.gif"A Bad Day At The Field Is Still Better Then A Good Day At Work"

You haven't said what sim you're using, Greg. The only Swiss stuff made specifically for FS2004 to date are Andreas Heigi's updates of his Swiss airports and heliports. Wonderful stuff. In FS2002, his work worked seamlessly with that of compatriot Daniel Gauthier, who has produced amazing work for Switzerland. I have it all and it's just glorious. Find it all at Avsim or below. Yet to try it in FS2004 as he'll probably update it all anyway. There is good landclass and mesh for Switzerland; I have three alternatives for the latter. Two are mentioned above, in any case; there is one other by a French chap, and this is the one I use: check out http://www.francophone.ch/fs/ as it's brilliant.Ernst Bosshard has done the landclass; find it here at Avsim or at this wonderful Swiss site: http://www.aviasim.ch/. Version 7 is the latest. One more site to bookmark and check out: http://www.swissvfr.ch/That'll keep you going. Being a Kiwi and having all that wonderful South Island mesh to fly through, I know you'll be demanding ... but you'll LOVE Switzerland with all the above installed.Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontP.S. There are some fantastic Swiss helicopters available; go hunting for the REGA and other varieties of A109, B105, Alouette and others. You'll find dozens of Swiss aircraft, of course, although for some of these VFR airports I recommend my own Swiss DC-3 repaint at www.swiremariners.com/dc3.html for FS2002 or the recent excellent paints by Richard Raueiser of the default bird for FS2004.http://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg

I have seen Josiah Haut's mesh for fs2002/fs9. You can find it athttp://files.fsnordic.net/files/msfs/Scenery/Switzerland/It clames to be LOD 10 Mesh, which is 38.4 meter. But I don't know how with only a 13 meg download :) It probably just 3 Arc data. which is normally 1;250,000 scale. But it should add some terrain, just don't know how accurate. Its the last one at the bottom. Also on this page is the airports created by David Gauthier.

Eh? Your pearl of wisdom is lost on me, I fear. They do travel, you know, in fact more than most of us. New Zealanders, that is, not the Kiwi bird itself which is having some trouble getting off the ground (FS9 FDE?) and spends most of its time adorning shoe polish cans. Most New Zealanders have been to Switzerland at some time or other; all the ones I've met have been whizzing down mountains far too fast or sailing around the world. You'd want to travel too if you lived in NZ. But you'd want to go back there eventually, too; what a beautiful country it is. I've been lucky enough to go there a few times. There are an awful lot of sheep there, but one or two great people too.Two of my favourite airports in FS are Sion in Switzerland and Queenstown in NZ, so I suppose I'm biased.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg

Howdy Mark, not the Kiwi bird itself which is having some trouble getting off the ground (FS9 FDE?):-lol You'd want to travel too if you lived in NZ.Talk about an oblique compliment (I think)!!! :-lolThere are an awful lot of sheep there, but one or two great people too. With the exception of 120 in Wellington (at the Beehive), everyone else is pretty great. Two of my favourite airports in FS are Sion in Switzerland andQueenstown in NZ, so I suppose I'm biased. So, does this mean a 2K4 repaint of the SPANZ DC3 is in the offing? Sure do hope so.Proudly New Zealand,

Why leave New Zealand? You have everything from everywhere here - mountains, beaches, scenery.I wish someone from MS would do something about it being a desert though...

Howdy,Agreed. And this is really getting off the original topic. MS's inability though, has brought out some very fine talent (both free and payware). Normally don't spring for payware scenery, but Robin Corn's photo-real project (especially Christchurch, Banks Peninsula, Ellesemere, and Rangiora) is well worth every cent spent, IMO.

Hi Captain ChaosNo repaint of the default bird, I fear ... not from me, anyway. I'm afraid I just hate painting inaccurate liveries. The tail is mirrored in the FS9 default Dak (as is the nose, wings, tailplane and rear section, dammit) and so she would be a shadow of her FS2002 self. Plus, it's impossible to make her a Viewmaster.I'm sure not many notice, but I'm a stickler for detail. A few of my early repaints fell through the planks but the more recent ones for FS2002 are as precise as I could get them. It's almost impossible to paint any real world livery of the new FS9 kite with any such accuracy. But Jan's new aircraft is not far off .... then we'll see. There'll be a paint kit, so you'll probably see hundreds of repaints in due course. I might even do one myself ... Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg

Howdy Mark,Hey, thanks for the low-down. Bit of a bugger 'bout that. And yep, a Viewmaster the default Dak ain't. :-lol Ah! well, I'll just sit right back and paitently scan the skies for Jan's new bird ... can hardly wait.
