Syncing FS and RC after FS crash

Featured Replies

Sometimes FSX will crash and restart. I have FSUIPC saving flights at intervals, including saving under the name Previous Flight. I can reload the file named Previous Flight but do not see a way to reload RC and be in sync. My first question is whether there is a way to stop FSX from reloading itself back at the origination airfield. The second is how I can get RC back in sync with FSX after I have loaded from the Previous Flight file? Any help would be much appreciated as it is very frustrating to lose the entire flight after hours of flying.

I believe that I have answered my own question. I had not found anything in my original search but after I posted I started through reading other posts that might have a bearing on the issue and have been able to piece together what appears to work. In regard to my first question about preventing FSX from coming back up with the aircraft sitting back at the original airfield, it appears that that action is exactly what is needed so scratch that one. I have run a brief test by loading FSX at a gate ready for flight. Then I started RC and loaded from RC the previous flight that was saved by FSUIPC. Eventually everything loaded exactly where the aircraft was located at the arriving airport. This happened to be a successful flight so I was on the ground listening again to RC pinging me for missing a crossing restriction. I'll run some more tests but it looks like I have the answer. The more I work with RC the more impressed I am with the effort that has gone into building it.
