Thanks for any help.cdogI don't think a STAR would help you simulate the normal runway configuration for IAH. Even if you used STARs, it would be impossible to set the 15s or 33s only for departures. They would have to accept arrivals as well, which is extremely rare for IAH. At some point, you've got accept that there are limitations to the program and you have to work within it. The best way to set up IAH for MSFS is to set 8L/26R and 9/27 for arrivals only, 8R/26L for departures only, and completely close both 15/33 runways. That is not an unrealistic configuration, although departing 8R is kind of rare. But more importantly, it results in a smooth running airport for a full load of AI. Although you can't cut taxiways in AFCAD in a scenery like Blueprint's, if you were using the old Simflyer's KIAH, you could cut taxiways in AFCAD without any ill effects to the scenery and force the traffic to flow very smoothly around the airport. For example, you can cut the taxiways from 8L/26R to force the arrivals to utilize EA in order avoid having to cross the departure runway of 8R/26L.
