FS 2004 and DC3

Featured Replies

I know this has been mentioned before, but how do you turn - when on ground and taxi - with tht DC 3 . I have tried using the engines and braking and rudder, and it will just not turn. Thanks for any help.ray

Make sure the tailwheel is unlocked.NP

>Make sure the tailwheel is unlocked.>>NPI did this (Shift+G) and it made no change to the DC-3's turning ability. If it did its so minute that is barely noticeable.Kyprianos Biris :-cool[link:avsim.com/greece/hvacc]Hellenic vACChttp://vateud.org/images/vatsim-eurs.gifhttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg

You have to use differential braking. Push F11 key for left and F12 for right. Or if you have a yaw axis on your flight stick, you an twist left or right while applying brakes. But the best solution I have found is to reduce the steer angle for the tail wheel to < 60 in the Aircraft.cfg file.

I see where it says steer angle but dont know where to modify the angle. Could you please cut and paste what you mean and state where is is in the config file?NP

i recommend you download the aircraft cfg file from http://www.douglasdc3.com/fs2004/fs2004.htm "best-dc3.zip" "Differential braking now has a little more power." (Will realistically allow for tighter turns during taxi)Its a excellent site !!!Baldrick
