September 28, 200322 yr Dear All:I am new to FS2004. I have a force feedback (Wingman Force 3D) joystick. I am having nightmares trying to taxi. No matter how many times I recalibrate the joystick, eventually, it will always be twisting the plane to the left when taxiing (as if I were telling it to twist the handle left). After I recalibrate, it seems to work correctly for a while but then it inevitably will return to its problematic veering to the left. Taxxing seems impossible, as does slewing (as soon as I take my hand off the stick in slew mode, it will begin spinning the plane in endless counterclockwise circles). Anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this? Does anyone else have this problem? Thanks very much.Sincerely, Chris Catalano :-)
September 29, 200322 yr Hi ChrisI have a Logitech wingman extreme Digital Stick. (not force feedback) but have the same problems as you. So much so that I found I was getting cramp trying to get my Cessna down th erunway straight. I thought it might be torque effects but no, no matter what I did in calibartion I was llover the place.Flying a chopper out of Cardiff Airport (wales) was the wildest experience ever.I have now taken FS( off my machine for reasons I wont go into here, and put FS2002 back on. I'm glad to say that the taxing nonsense has abated.I suggest you get the most recent drivers from Logitech and give that ago. The only other thing is to reduce the sensitivity and dead area in settings and see if that helps, but if I recall it didn't help me.Wycliffe
September 29, 200322 yr Author Thanks for the suggestions. I actually got the latest drivers, but it did not help. Thanks again.Chris
