VC Cockpit Textures

Featured Replies

I found out from FAQ how to make the panel guages more crips, but is there any way one can improve the textures of the VCs? They're quite blurry!

Hi JasonD,Well, I'm designer and quite new about VCs,but the secret is to use a file= with a 1024 x **** texture...then, if your VC is pratically covered with fgauges, is better to use a smaller texture and write in the CFG:pixel_size=1024,1024 (this is the resolution for gauges, but not the single gaus, form one side to the other of the panel)size_mm= 1024, *****(ok, the bigger the more your gauges are precisely placed, a good idea is to build a 2d cockpit with size_mm=1024, ***** (as the vertical component changes depending on the cockpit's characteristics, not more than 768, generally, I used 445...to constrain proportions)so if you use 512 x 512 declarations in the panel.CFG I ensure you it will look blurry and pixelous...Hope this helps,Mario NoriegaA.C.T. Thanks MarioI'm follow what you say, but what I was actually hoping for was a setting somewhere that I could tweak, that would improved the quality of the default texture for FS2004. I don't know if this is possible.

Hi - You have to put your global texture slider to massive. (at least I think its that one, I'm at work. he he)Cheers, Boone
