Voice Commands

Featured Replies

Hi allWhat is the best voice command program to use with FS 2002/2004, one that lets you use voice commands to set aircraft controls instead of the keyboard, at least some of them, flaps, power ect.I did a search but there a so many diferent opinions.I have MS Speach SDK 5.1 but will it work with 2002/2004 and how do I set it up, in easy steps if possible.he---lpMac

Hi,I've been using Game Commander 2 for the last 2 yrs or so, both in FS2002 and FS2004. I have all the ATC interaction assigned to it so I can answer all the many ATC frequency changes that seem to occur during a normal IFR flight....using voice. I can also initiate ATC calls by using GC2 and make altitude changes etc. I also assign all view changes to it and lots of non-control surface commands such as resetting barometer, etc. I have found that the gear and control surface commands --spoilers, trim, etc and brakes are better left to a more positive means of control (I use the Go-flight modules). Game Commander sometimes..although very infrequently...mistakes your phases and may do the incorrect thing and for control surfaces this could be embarrassing. I have found if you choose your phasing correctly it is a wonderful tool to take the keyboard out of the flight experience. Hope this helps.Charlie
