September 30, 200322 yr Last weekend i had to format my harddisk because i was getting all kind of weird errors. After re-installing windows and all the drivers (45.23) for my videocard i can't enable AGP in dxdiag. I didn't change the BIOS, so i don't think that's the problem. Before formatting, the videocard was working just fine. I had no complains about FPS. But now i'm only getting between 5 - 10 FPS because i can't enable AGP. Can someone help me please????!!!!ThankxMy system:P4 1700mhz512 mb RamGeForce FX 5600 ultra (45.23 driver)Directx 9.0bOS: WIN98 SE
September 30, 200322 yr Author I suspect you didn't install the MOBO's controller chip drivers, i.e., Intel, VIA, SiS, AMD, ALi. Open Device Manager, open system devices and look for entries for your MOBO'S controller chips. One should indicate, for example:VIA CPU to AGP ControllerIntel CPU to AGP Controller, etc.If you don't have these entries, then you don't have the drivers necessary to interface the CPU to the GPU.W.
