October 6, 200322 yr Hi folks, today wanted to plan a flight from my home apt. LIML (Milan Linate) to LFPO (Paris Orly). As i usually do i let FSBuild auto generate the flightplan. After that..........http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/41389.jpghow can this happen? 1367 NM??????http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/41391.jpgThanks in advance for helpingLuigi ;-)
October 6, 200322 yr I guess something went wrong .Where is Metlika located? It could be an erroneous waypoint got inserted somewhere along the way (it sounds like Greece).I've encountered that at some times, a few airways seem to double back on themselves due to incorrect sequencing of waypoints.
October 6, 200322 yr I think it's the STAR (rlp3j I think in your case), try a different STAR and see what happens//Mike
October 6, 200322 yr I fond teh same thig form time to time- it's a waypoint that is out of the way from the rest of the route :) I've had plans where a wapoint is over 2000 miles out of the way!I report them to Ernie, and He typically finds a fix quickly.Tim
October 6, 200322 yr Author Its probably the OL44 waypoint.Maybe obsoleted by a Navdata update. But if the original OL44 no longer exists in the database, but another OL44 does, Fsbuild will take the closest OL44 it finds no matter how far away it is.Probably the STAR waypoints need to be updated. Or you can just comment out the OL44 waypoint (with the '*' character) so it doesn't use it when the STAR is selected.Regards.Ernie.
October 7, 200322 yr Hi Ernie,>just comment out the OL44 waypoint (with the '*' character) so>it doesn't use it when the STAR is selected.which file should i comment OL44 in?Thanks in advanceLuigi ;-)
