Featured Replies

Anybody else have a problem with the ReaiAir 172's Engine stalling when you close the throttle? Everytime I push in the throttle, the engine stalls, Other than that, thats a REAL nice flying plane Thanx ReaiAir! Scott(AKA King Bud)KPTK

HI Scott,This is most definitely a throttle calibration issue. It is possible that your throttle control is not quite doing what the Windows calibration box is showing.Have a go at re-calibrating your throttle. If that doesn't work there are two available fixes. First, try assigning a very slight "null zone" to your throttle in the FS2004 Controlssensitivity menu.If this doesn't work, then open the C172 aircraft.cfg file. Under the Engine section you'll see a line:Minimum throttle=Very slightly increase this value (but not too much!)and reload the aircraft at least twice, or just to make sure reload FS2004. When this value is right, you should get approximately 700 rpm at idle.I'd be interested to hear if this works for you.Regards,Rob Young - RealAir Simulations
