Saw Blades

Featured Replies

I recently purchased and installed MegaScenery USA2004 LA/San Diego. I did so knowing my machine was/is not capable of handling such a program. But, since I've had MSFS from day one, I just had to have this scenery. As fast as I installed it, I un-installed it. I set all the settings as recommended. After un-installing, I put the settings back to where I thought I had them before. It took awhile to get the ground textures back the way I had them (even though they're still not what I remembered) but I'm having one heck of a time to get my aircraft (default and add-on) to look as good as they were. If you look at an external side view (profile) of any aircraft all the horizontal lines look like a fine-toothed hack saw blade. Same with a rear view looking at the horizontal stabilizer.I'm not blaming the makers of MegaScenery, but I was wondering if after un-install, something was left on my computer. I'm not sure what mip mapping, anti-aliasing, etc., etc. mean so I was wondering if someone who thinks they have all the sliders in the right position could lend me their set-up. I know higher end machines work differently than mine, but even though I have a somewhat slower machine, I had a pretty good set-up at one time. Thanks in advance to any responders.Mike

You need to turn your anti-aliasing back on.You can do that from the MSFS menu "Options : Setting : Display" then click on the "Hardware" tab.You can also turn it on instead on a more advanced video card to save FS from having to do it. Increases fps a bit.StickHC001ST
