October 14, 200322 yr Hi AllI have been attempting to use the GPS FS2004 with the Lear 45 without any success in coupling the two programs.Example.Create a Nav Flight plan using the flightplanner IFR.After receiving clearence to navigate on my own activate AP with Flight director but the GPS does not take control over the aircraft have to manually make all turns towards the Nav aid.I have tried flipping the panel switch from GPS to Nav with the same results. Also have tried imputing the ILS Freq. to the 2D panel without any success again have to type the correct freq. into the nav panel. Is this the way the GPS works or Any assistance would be appreciated.Kenny G.
October 14, 200322 yr Did you activate the autopilot's NAV mode after flipping the Nav/GPS source switch to GPS? GPS flight plan tracking will only work if you do this.HTH :-) .
October 14, 200322 yr Kenny - You have to turn on "NAV" mode on the autopilot, then switch to GPS tracking.Hope this helps,Brian
October 14, 200322 yr Tks. for your replys.I must have missed the Nav mode on the autopilot, for the Lear 45.I saw the toggle switch for Nav & GPS on the upper panel beside AP switch but I can't remember seeing another Nav mode switch.Hopefully you can help me out in locating this switch. If you are talking about the GPS panel which you can pop up with the map etc. I did bring up the Nav freq. etc. but did not see anything that I would activate to enable the Nav mode.Tks. again for your help.Kenny G.
October 15, 200322 yr Here's a screenshot of the Lear45 panel with the Nav button circled on the autopilot. Note: not quite the default panel, but the autopilot is the default Lear45 AP. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/43178.jpg :-outta http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/dcforum/User_files/3e72a43942b48d2b.jpg There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".- unknown "My daddy gives me up, to fight for you"- a US Military Members Child
