October 15, 200322 yr I have tried a Convair 440 whith swedish Linjeflyg livery, based on Tom Gibson/Greg Pepper CV 440 for FS2002. It seems like the rudders react with a 2-3 second delay on the yoke signal. We have a AMD with 1 Ghz processor and NVidia Geforce II MX 400 256 bit 64 MB memory. RAM 256 MB The yoke is a Sidewinder Precision 2 usb yoke. What can I do to reduce the delay?
October 15, 200322 yr Check out the notes included with the excellent panel for the turbo-prop version - the real plane is a real pig to fly, and the flight model is a very good representation of this. It's supposed to be that way. Have fun!
October 15, 200322 yr HiI recently completed a true round the world flight in the Convair 440 (which included a transition from FS2002 to FS9 halfway through the journey) in approx 1300nm hops.I love it as an aircraft (nostalgic), but have to admit I tweaked and created my own panel. It is certainly not like flying the B737 or any other modern jet, but it is a lovely aircraft.Plenty of practice, especially in landing on short strips is quite useful.I hope you can come to enjoy it.CheersMike
October 15, 200322 yr Well, if it's the real thing, I settle for that. It really is a nice model. My first flight ever was in a CV 440 from Fr
October 16, 200322 yr Author Hi,Glad you're enjoying it! If you want, you can always up the sensitivity of your rudder axis a bit while flying the plane; that helps some people. You just have to be very careful then... :)--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
