October 23, 200322 yr Hi all i am considering purchasing tha Ariane 737-300 but before i do I just want to knwo what others who have bought it think of the overall aircraft and panel. the exterior looks fantastic but how does it fly and how functional is the panel??
October 23, 200322 yr Fair model, incomplete panel (or should I say somewhat basic), way too expensive, and yes I own it. Put your money into the PMDG 737NG. You won't regret it.George Stoddard
October 23, 200322 yr Author Expensive? Yeah. But visual model superb. (See my post around here. I just saw this one!)Aircraft.cfg file needs tweaking and I've been doing that. It flies great now. I believe the cfg was from Fs2002 and it needs work for FS2004, but my tweaks so far are a trip.PMDG looks fabulous but it is for FMC and glass cockpit fans. I wanted an older 737-300 model with grey metal analog panel and that's JUST what I got with Ariane. Panel is fully functional but does not always work with MSFS keystrokes. It needs mouse clicks. So, yeah, a good piece of work, and a superb visual model--but OK, rather costly.(I may get the PMDG 737-800 when it's boxed and fully de-bugged.)JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
