Assigning reverse thrust levers for dual throttles

Featured Replies

Hi I have a dual throttle setup (eg 737,767), with the two reverse-thrust leavers on the top...these levers swing back against two buttons.I cannot work out how to get the leavers to be independent and act on each engine.does anyone know if it is possible to assign two different buttons to the indepedent reverse-thrust leavers?...If so, could you please let me know how to do it.regardsd

Dear D.Unfortunatelly there are no assignment commands for reverse thrust in FS2002 (MS did not change a thing in this regard in FS9). I also wonder some times why could not they dedicate 1-2 assignments for such an import function (there are 259 key default assinments - including non pre-dedicated).I am afraid you have to shell out some $$ and buy that excellent, once freeware, program called FSUIPC.Seev

Hi SeevThanks for the disappointing information.!!I have a snazzy 767 throttle setup ...and have no reverse thrust...oh well...back to the drawing board.regardsdaryl

Hi Daryl,If you have FSUIPC there's always to option to its joystick calibration functions to have the lower part of your throttle travel trigger thrust reversers. That might be an option for what you want to do, and would allow (I believe) for independant reversers. I could be wrong, but I think it'd work.

>I am afraid you have to shell out some $$ and buy that>excellent, once freeware, program called FSUIPC.FSUIPC is still freeware. Only commercial vendors that would like to create commercial add-ons that use FSUIPC need to buy a license to do so.However for the FS flyer, it's completely free as always.

It works because FSUIPC recognizes the different axis, but again you have to get FSUIPC.With this fine program calibration for reverse thrust is easy - just set a point in the lever (or levers) travel from where reverse starts.Seev

With all respect I think you are mistaken. Ver 3.04, which is free is NOT FULL. It is missing exactly the part needed for calibration of such functins.Or, did I missed something in the last two weeks??? and if so then sorrySeev.

I'm using version 3.10 and I didn't pay a penny for it...Whether it's a downgraded version of the FULL version or not, I don't know. But from what I heard, you only pay if you are a commercial vendor and planning on creating a commercial add-on that requires FSUIPC.I know for sure that if freeware vendors (such as POSky, IFDG, AeroDesigns, etc.) want to create add-ons that use FSUIPC, they can register for free since they aren't charging for their products.
