Missing Gauges

Featured Replies

Yesterday I downloaded KingAir 200 MOZ , unzipped to a folder on my desktop and dragged it to the FS9 main folder. Everything works fine.Next I downloaded beech_kingair_b200 to FS 2002 the same way. When I opened Create flight and got setup, the only gauges in the panel were the attitude indicator and the vertical speed indicator. When I called up the radio panel, it was blank. The GPS is OK, the compass is OK There are no switches and no other gauges. I need a step by step on how to find and import the missing gauges and switches. Thanks in advance for your help.

You can't simply drag all downloads into your FS folder; they're all packaged differently.Check that your new King Air folder is within ..../FS2002/AIRCRAFT. Look inside it to see if there's a GAUGES zip or folder there and that the folder itself is structured like the default planes. If you find gauges, move them to FS2002/GAUGES.You don't give a file name so I can't check the download for you.If you have trouble getting this done, there are good tutorials on this site that tell you how to get into your AIRCRAFT folder and manipulate stuff. Good luck.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg

Hi Rod,Look at your a/c (beech_kingair_b200, or whatever) installation folder tree in the Aircraft folder and see if there is a gauges folder. If so, then that is your problem. Open this folder and cut and paste the gauges into the main gauges folder (FS2002Gauges). I've come across this problem a few times and, while it may not be the solution you need in this particular instance, it has been known to catch the unwary. This is also another good reason for extracting to a temporary folder in the first instance - allows you to examine just what has occurred during the extraction process. The gauges that have shown up may be gauges that already existed in the main gauges folder.Mike
