November 17, 201015 yr I'm trying to get the fps limiter working, but when I disable the dx10 preview mode fsx crashes as soon as it loads the menu screen (specifically the free flight tab, the other tabs are fine) with a fatal error message. It's fine in dx10 thoughEvent viewer saysFaulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61472.0, time stamp: 0x475e17d3Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16559, time stamp: 0x4ba9b29cException code: 0xc015000fFault offset: 0x00084391Faulting process id: 0xe14Faulting application start time: 0x01cb845a06fae9d5Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exeFaulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dllReport Id: 66fc9fdf-f04d-11df-a6ae-90e6ba46babbI've tried it letting it create a fresh .cfg file but it seems to ONLY run in dx10 preview. Can anyone shed some light on this please? ThanksDev
November 22, 201015 yr I ran a search on the exception code error and it indicates you have/had an activation/deactivation issue with a program (Google: 0xc015000f). The NTDLL.DLL error comes up frequently on this forum and these is no known magic bullet to fix it. I did a Google search on ntdll.dll and the following link had some possible solutions to this problem: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/a/ntdlldll.htm/ . The ntdll.dll is a system dll and the latest version of it on my 64 bit Windows 7 system is 6.1.7600.16559 and it is dated 3/24/2010. It is also located in my Windows/System32 folder (your error msg indicates yours was in the SystemWOW64 folder). Hope this helps.Best regards,Jim
November 23, 201015 yr The free flight tab is the one with the 3D view of the plane right? So it appears the crash occurs when FSX tries to do something with DirectX 9.The exception code indeed indicates an activation problem, but this is in no way related to the activation of the product. It is related to DLL's and manifests that determine which version of a DLL from an SxS (Side-by-Side) configuration to load.To me it seems that something in your DirectX installation has been messed up. I would suggest to first remove any traces of FPS Limiter and (if applicable) ENB Mod and then reinstalling the latest version of DirectX. If that fixes FSX you can try FPSLimiter things again.Daniel
