November 19, 201015 yr hi,I am using 4 displays and the way its set up 2 displays for forward view with no panels, vc view is disabled. I drag the main 2 d panel to the lower display and use the 4th for gps atc ect. How can I use only the gauges to drag over to the lower display without using the actual 2d cockpit panel. I use mostly the default mooney. I hope someone can understand the question.thanks in advanceEric
November 19, 201015 yr Probably the best way to do it would be to design a custom panel with only the bits you want to display on it. The easiest way to do that is to use the FS Panel Studio utility, which you can buy from Flight One, or if you prefer to test it out, there is a demo of it which can be found by searching on Google. The trick would be to use a background bitmap image for the panel that has a completely black alpha channel so that the bitmap image is made totally transparent by virtue of that alpha channel being totally black, which FS reads as transparency (you can do that in an image editing program such as Photoshop, or if you don't have Photoshop a free alternative to it such as Paint.net).It would then be a simple case of placing whatever instruments you wanted onto your transparent panel design in whatever arrangement you prefer and then assigning that panel to whatever aircraft you wanted to use it with, all of which is very simple to do in FS Panel Studio and doesn't require any specialist skills other than to try the tutorial which basically walks you through how to do it with on screen help, although you can pretty much muddle you way through it anyway by simply looking on the menus and figuring it out as you go, as FS Panel Studio is not a complex program to use and is actually fairly intuitive.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
