VC lighting (again)

Featured Replies

After much googling and searching I am getting confused about VC lighting in FSX (SP2).I am using REX and ENBSeries which may exacerbate the issue but essentially I have the well known 'dawn, dusk & facing into the sun you can't read your instruments' issue. I know that many payware products have got round this by adding a Dome light in aircraft.cfg but is there another way, I don't want to have to do this for every plane I have?Is there a way to either:

1. Turn on panel lights (use night textures) during Dawn/Dusk?
2. Change the way ambient (actually directional) light in the VC changes based on your heading.

These screens are from LGW during dawn within only a few seconds of each other, now to me this is very unrealistic, for a start if the sun is right behind the plane not all that light should be on the panel because there isnt a window directly behind you! All lights are on in both shots!dark.jpglight.jpg

I believe this was mainly due to the plugin ENBSeries.I found the following section and changed DarkeningAmountNight and it is better (still barely visible) but I would still like a generic way of turning on lights during the dawn/day/dusk. Damn you Aces! [colorCORRECTION]DarkeningAmountDay=14ScreenLevelDay=70ScreenLevelNight=5DarkeningAmountNight=4

Here is a video to show the result:

Still a bit dark during dawn in the VC I think.
