PAI & MRAI

Featured Replies

I installed all PAI packages, but they seem to have little amount of flight plans. Can I just install the MRAI flight plans as well? Can multiple FP's conflict with each other or the more the better? Thanks

Hi there,I'm not sure what you mean by 'little amount of flight plans'. For any given airline, the PAI and MRAI files contain roughly the same number of flightplans. The difference is, that the MRAI plans are made according to one specific seasonal timetable (e.g. Summer 2003), while the PAI ones may be a bit older and could contain some flights that have now been discontinued etc. Also, with PAI files you can adjust the traffic percentage slider, while MRAI plans are set at 1%, so all traffic shows up as soon as AI is turned on.How much of that traffic you'll end up seeing at any given airport, depends on the number of available parking spaces. If you're running FS2002, there's an abundance of Afcad files in the library here and elsewhere, which will open up more gates for AI parking. For FS2004, Afcad should be available shortly. If you want to add MRAI flightplans for an aleady installed PAI airline, I would delete the PAI plans first, otherwise you could end up with a lot of duplicates. If you want to install different airlines in addition to the PAI ones, that's not a problem. Just make sure, you add all the correct entries to your aircraft.cfg and check the aircraft and flight plan numbers in the decompiled traffic.bgl.Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg

Thanks, after installing 10 or so PAI airlines, I have 2500 flight plans, while MRAI has 900 for BA alone, isn't that more FP's?Also, how do I adjust the percent of AI with PAI?

Hi Moshe, that depends on which other airlines are installed and on how the flightplans are implemented, as well as on which BA subsidiaries are included or not. More flightplans don't necessarily mean more flights. Both PAI and MRAI FPs are repeated weekly. MRAI may have included more accurate rest periods on the ground, while PAI may have gotten the maximum possible number of flights out of the plan.To change AI density, just move the percentage slider in the AI traffic menu in FS.Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
