December 7, 201015 yr Ok Guys...Now this is a draw-back which I hadn't experienced.---- Flying under rain (thunderstorms), causes my computer to crash after 2 minutes of less. Now, I dodn't understand why. I was able to OC to 4.0 Ghz, test it with Prime 95 and OCCT for almost 2 hours and no errors. It's been working fine and smooth, but as soon as I choose rain or storm, the computer crashes and re-boots. It was great on clear days or under building storms, but not under rain.--- Intel i7 950 @ 4.0 GHz-- 6 Gb Memory 1600 ( 7-7-7-20)-- MOBO X58-- Windows 7 64 bit.-- BOjete's recomended tweak, and Nicks and FSP Limiter @ 30-- Liquid cooled-- Nvidia 580 @ 855Mhz with Nvidia Inspector--- BIOS 21x/ Votage: CPU: 1.40/ CPU PLL Votage: Auto/ QPI-DRAM Core: 1.37/ DRAM Bus Votage: 1.65....All others all on "auto"-- NOTE: I am not a very knowledgable overcloker and yes I have read a million post on line, but not sure if I have my BIOS set correctly--especially the votage.I don't know if this a CPU issue or a voltage issue, but computer will crash only under raining and thunderstorms, almost instantly !Thanks,John
December 7, 201015 yr John - roll the memory timing and speed back to auto, then run your flight again. Also I think you CPU/PLL V. should be specified - not Auto. The voltages are not much good if we don't know the maker of the mobo. My ASUS P6T:-CPU V..........1.3875CPU PLL V......1.86QPI/DRAM Core..1.36875IOH ...........1.1IOH PCIE.......1.5ICH ...........1.2ICH PCIE.......1.5DRAM BUS.......1.6 All DRAM - Auto.Once you're happy with that, you might tighten the memory timings. Mine will oc without issue, but if I move the memory up - she'll BS every time. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.

December 8, 201015 yr I would test the stability of your computer with Prime95 (stress testing only). Best regards from RelaxX
