Build 642 repeated "initial weather"

Featured Replies

I tried using 642 with FS9 but every few minutes it clears all the weather, then starts a new download. When it finishes I get the "initial weather depiction complete" message. After trying several flights I have gone back to 586 and it works no problem (as it did before).Brad

I decided to give this update another go. I've been using it 3 days this time it seems to be working just fine. Not sure what the issue was last time. I'm glad because I really like the improvements you made. Thanks for that.I will ask one querstion as it does do one thing I am not sure it should. Is it supposed to clear all weather if I do a manual refresh?Brad

Hi,I am really not sure and I can't test from where I am right now, but I will check on Sunday. If I don't return to this thread by say Monday, give it a bump as a reminder.

Jim,You asked for a bump.I worked ASE pretty hard over the holiday and everything is still working fine. :( I do wish it wouldn't totally clear weather on a manual refresh since I like to give it one just before I enter the suppression range from my destination to ensure I have the most current weather.Brad

Hi,Thanks for the reminder. Yes, a manual refresh is going to send a clear weather command to FS, much in the same way as when ASE is first run.
