Eh? What is this weird MelJet 777 V2 VC view ?!#?

Featured Replies

The V2 version of the MelJet 777 has a very weird VC view. On the right I see sky and it's normal, but on the left, it looks like a bit of cabin. The wing views don't work in VC view--I see bits of virtual business class cabin--or in 2-D view either as they do normally on version 1 MelJets. It's like this on two British 777 V2 models, finished by different painters. Am I doing something wrong or is something missing here ?Appreciate advice, thanks!JS

In Mel's 777 V2 there is no Virtual Cockpit, however he does have a Virtual Cabin his plane.

lol

Actually, they are correct, there is no Virtual Cockpit for the Meljet 777 (versions 1 or 2). There is a virtual cabin instead. What you are seeing when you move to the VC Mode is the First class lavatory right behind the cockpit door. You can modify the eyepoint value in the Aircraft.cfg and move it forward to be able to not have it block your view when switching to VC mode.Look for the section in the aircraft.cfg and then modify the first 'eyepoint' value. I have mine set like this:eyepoint = 92.0, -2.65, 2.25As for geting wing views, you can either use Active Camera or modify the 'views' section of the Panel config to move the viewpoints around when looking right or left, etc.

The guys from Active Camera mentioned some time ago they were going to be doing a free dll to make the cabin views work without having to get active camera itself. Still hoping for that to arrive so the 777 will actually be nicer to fly :)

Howard:Thanks for handy reply. really appreciate it!JS

Hi Cargomun,it is a small dll that will allow Meljet 777 V2 users to call up to 10 view preset (cabin and wing views). Views are hard coded and therefore are not editable.Check your PM.Regards,

No problem at all! Glad I could be of help :)
