Upgrade from EVGA 9800 GTX?

You're in basically the same boat that I am. I have a single 8800GT and I put a new video card on my letter to Santa. For you, I would focus MUCH less on SLI this time. Instead, get a very powerful single card. However, if you do a significant amount of FPS gaming, then SLI might be worth it, but if most of what you do is FS, stick with one.For me, the GTX470 looks like the best option at the moment. I would recommend going straight to the Fermis and skipping the 200 series all together. The 4 series should give you a good 4-5 years before needing to upgrade. Also, keep in mind, If you run a 32bit OS, then steer clear from too much memory on your new Video Card. Video Cards use up virtual memory on the OS, taking away memory that is able to be dedicated to the OS and programs running in it.
